evilgoddss: Sturdy walls are good (NQM Mocked)
My goal today was to sleep until noon. This worked well until 8am when my body decided it was awake. Traitorous body. Evil traitorous body!

So, mind and body got up, started moving. This worked out fine until I sat down on the couch and turned on the Home & gardening station to watch Trading Spaces. Skeery.

Around noon, I got motivated to shower, scoot to Oshawa and visit the family. I was so motivated, in fact, I bought a dining room suite. I got a fantastic deal, though, for far less than the price listed on the website. I opted out of the hutch, and chose to go with the buffet only. I think hutches are less than ideal, when I'm looking for space to put serving dishes, not to show-case china.

Visited my Grandfather, and my Aunt & Uncle showed up. *eyeroll* It was a laugh listening to their view of the legal system and the problem with teenagers using pellet guns to cause intentional harm to other humans. Erica doesn't believe in corporal punishment, but I maintain that like the animal kingdom, we learn through pain/discomfort stimulation on an instinctive level. Being stuck in a corner does not cause any discomfort, so how is a "wrong/bad" lesson being learned?

And for those human's so damaged that pain stimulation brings pleasure, then they are damaged (as per natures dictates), and nature would find a way to destroy them. We really should pay more attention to nature. Humans aren't above the animal kingdom. We're part of it.

And that ends my rambling for today.

Edited to delete the link. *shrug* Whatever. And hey, toothpaste DOES take out watermarks on wood furniture. WHO KNEW?!
