Goober Joy

I've got my new kitchen dinette set! It's in a honey-stained finish on birch wood.

Very cool. And, while I got the table together first and put it in the kitchen (geeking over the fact it matches the cabinet colouring of my grandmother's old hutch), I thought for a moment 'Crap! It's too big for the room!'

Then I put the chairs together, repositioned the whole set and it looks PERFECTLY perfect!

In other news, it's 8:30pm (almost), and I'm pooped. I think I shall forgo painting in Drew's future room and instead have a hot shower and crawl into bed with a book.

Tomorrow is garbage day around here. I must remember to put the garbage out before leaving for work. Mental note made. Now, hopefuly my mind doesn't vacate the premises until mid-morning tomorrow.
