I shall go off and start the night over. Yes. I'll sit down, watch exactly 23 minutes of TV and then get bored flipping channels, go upstairs, read my book for a few hours, crawl into bed around 10:30 and sleep my little heart out.

I'll ignore the fact it's 'am' and not 'pm', and just blithely carry on.

Oh, this sounds like such a good plan. If only I could get away with it. Dammit.

I love my Papa. I really do, but jeez. Could he keep in mind he finishes work minutes before 4pm, and he can for the most part BEAT rush hour traffic home?

He gets home around 4:30pm. Me? 6'ish. Usually 6:30'ish. Seeing as it's just 6:07pm, that means I've only just walked in the door. Right?

I get a phone call. "So, you starting the baseboards tonight?"
"Um. I should."
"Okay. I've got some wood for you to rest them on, and a tarp for underneath. Come and get it tonight."
"Can I eat dinner first?"
"Sure. See you in 45 then."

AAARGH. I love my Papa. I really do.
But I just may strangle him.
