Life is oddly good at strange moments. Truly. Like just when I thought I'd go postal (re: work), something sweet comes along to brighten my world.
No, no -- not the succulence of a new job, because hello? Still working off major karmic blackness. (Last lifetime must have been a real eeeeeevil one.)
Any-hoo... so, I've been hearing talk about this show on The Movie Network called Dexter. Sounds kinda nifty. Serial killer Dexter Morgan works as a forensics analyst specializing in bloodstain pattern analysis for the Miami Police Department by day. And on the side, kills off the other predators the police can't get. He loves his work. (I envy him.)
And the show tagline: "Takes life. Seriously." -- I want that for a bumper sticker! Err, maybe not. That might attract attention of the wrong kind.
Anyway, Michael C. Hall of Six Feet Under is title actor, and his psycho look is smoking! There's one scene where he realized the Ice Truck Killer HASN'T been caught and he just gives this smile... it's beyond creepy, it's just... wonderful. I'm hooked. Totally absolutely hooked on dear disturbed Dexter. And hey, Julie Benz plays his neurotic girlfriend!
So, in short -- Anya is happy. For now.
