Ah, The Weekend
Feb. 9th, 2003 12:08 pmIt's been interesting. Shure. I'll go with that. Haven't been able since Thursday to hie my ass to bed until midnight, and that's very unusual for me. Upside, today, I slept until 11am. Liked that muchly.
And now, as I swoon rapturously over Yoplait's Source yogurt, I'm just recalling all the fun and games of yesterday.
Of course, my routine 2.0 hr morning at the gym was observed. Afterwards, I wolfed down a salad and hied my ass to Oshawa.
Grandad was mass rearranging furniture, and to no one's surprise I was the ONLY grandchild to show up and lend a hand. What GOOD are the rest of the lazy lot? Honestly. It was clear from my uncle's expression he was embarassed of his brood.
Fixed two computers. Belonging to friend's of Mum. Men have no business "formating the c drive to reinstall windows" when they don't know WHAT they're freakin' doing! Honestly. And, clearly, at some point, he'd removed the RAM, because Cradle 2 refused to recognize the chip. He also set his computer to boot from the CD-Rom. AAARGH! (Trish, bless her, just had her CPU fan fry and dust-bunnies were conquering the board. Easy to fix by comparison.)
Visited my Grandmother. *snerk* Shure, we'll call it that. She had NO idea who I was, and when Grandad formally said my name in full to her, she brightened up. "OH, you're a McL...! Congratulations!" Had to shake my hand and all. It was surreal.
Ah. That concludes the exitement that is my life. I'm going to let the yogurt settle, and around 2pm, journey off to my home away from home... the gym. Because, there's nothing like sweat and pain to brighten a sunshiney wonderful day even more!
Sick I am. Yes.
