The plumbing in my house & I are going to have a long and unpleasant chat.

The pipe shut-off for the water leading into the garage is not functioning properly. Since it is a pipe shut-off, it means a plumber is needed to deal with it. However, as the shut-off in the garage is ALSO leaking, that is something I can deal with. I hope. If it's welded to the pipe, there will be much screaming. If it's not, I simply shut off the house-hold water, remove the offending shut-off valve, and hie my weary ass to Home Depot. There I will play blond and get help

Durham Region is expecting about 15-20cm of snow today. Yippee. The drive from my home to the office took 2 hours, but the first half hour was easy. From my home all the way out to the 7th Concession and into Markham. However, as soon as we hit Major Mack in Markham -- it all went to hell.

So, I'm leaving early today for two reasons. 1. -- roads will be clearer, but drivers will still be stupid. 2. -- I may need a plumber. I'd like to identify this BEFORE it's after-hours.

And lastly, The Wench is out of the office. This is a good thing because my sanity and patience are hanging by threads.

So, let's just say I'm about to make Karen faint. I'm thinking of getting off my lazy arse, and making up my own website to archive my written works.

Name suggestions for the domain would be helpful...

[livejournal.com profile] claris has nominated evylisfun.com

Any others?

A tribute to the L.J Outage of 2005. To the tune of American Pie.

Brilliantly done. Muchly enjoyed.
