Friday was sucky
Jan. 22nd, 2005 08:20 amYesterday had absolutely nothing redeeming about it.
It was brutally cold... -34 or -36 with the wind-chill, and I had to go to work early. The drive took longer than normal because the other cars was petrified of the cold air outside of their vehicles.
So, I got in early, but only because I allowed the road-rage to flow.
The Wench got on every last nerve I had. There were none left when I stood up, and announced I needed to go downstairs to the petstore and visit my favorite puppy -- The Beagle.
Finally, the day ended and I could go home. I wasted no time dropping everything, grabbing my coat and scramming. However, apparently, the car hadn't gotten this memo about immediate departure. She wouldn't start.
I called C.A.A and was told I'd have a nice very long wait. (GAH!) The President's brother, (night and day) offered to help push my car out and jump it. So, down we went. And when I tried the engine? THIS time she started. Little moody bitch.
I took no chances, however, called my parents so someone would check on Lucky and went straight to Canadian Tire where I had the privilage of waiting 3 hours for an oil-change and a new fan-belt.
AARGH.
Afterwards, I found out my parents had brought the dog to their house, so I went and got him. Little brother called for a ride, so I had to go get him. All I wanted to do was go home, sit and sulk.
And NOW, there's the threat of serious snow today. Which may derail my plans to go to Lostvoice's for Stargatey-goodness.
