So, hearing the news that New Orleans may be devastated by Hurricane Katrina when she hits, I was motivated to find out more about this storm. The satellite images from the National Hurricane Center were powerful, and seeing in the loop transitions happening within 30 minutes scary.
I guess nature must have her say, but it seems a pity as to the damage this storm is likely to do to an amazing city like New Orleans. I should feel the same about Miami and other cities affected, but NO was a recent visit of mine, and I became fond of the French Quarter. So much history, and much could be swept away by this storm.
And, having said that, I still would be fascinated to witness the impact and power of the Hurricane if there was a safe way to do so. The sheer energy must be phenomenal.
